Kim Oberlander DMD, MPH

I’m Dr. Kim Oberlander, and I’m excited to share the start of a new chapter in patient care here in Cincinnati. The name Cactus Pear Dental is inspired by my time in dental school in Mesa, Arizona—a place that shaped my passion for dentistry and patient-centered care.

I began my journey in dentistry with a degree in dental hygiene from the University of Cincinnati (2004), followed by my Doctorate of Dental Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (2013). For the past 10+ years, I’ve been honored to serve patients of all ages and backgrounds across the tri-state in public health.

As a westside native, living just minutes from the office, I’m excited to bring that same dedication to our local community. Outside of dentistry, I’m a proud mom to Cameron and Lilly, who keep me busy with soccer, volleyball, gymnastics, basketball, and cheer. I also love summer pool days, family time, and staying active with workouts.

I’ll officially assume leadership of patient care in December 2025, and I can’t wait to welcome you to Cactus Pear Dental—where comfort, quality, and community come first.

Previously the Office of Dr. Philip Younts

After 38 years of dedicated service, Dr. Philip Younts is entering retirement and confidently entrusting the future of the practice to Dr. Kim Oberlander under a new name: Cactus Pear Dental.

Dr. Oberlander brings over 20 years of experience, a strong connection to the community, and the compassionate care that patients have come to know and trust.

Together, Dr. Younts and Dr. Oberlander will ensure a smooth transition through the end of the year, with Dr. Oberlander officially taking over at the end of December, 2025.
